Gary Chambers (www.cyclelogic.co.uk) was well clear of the Cornish competition once again, with 2 wins out of 2 race starts. Chris Lobb took third spot, reinforcing his position as runner up for 2009. With 1 round to go, who can improve their position in this season’s championship?

Paul Friday (Penzance Wheelers) continues his domination in round 5, but outclassed in round 6 by Gary Chambers (www.cyclelogic.co.uk) who has numerous open wins under his belt this season.

Despite a mechanical problem, Paul Friday held on to claim maximum points in round 4. This edges him 1 point in front of fellow title contender Chris Lobb for riders who have completed 3 of the four events so far. Meanwhile, Alessandro (Sandy) Gourli shoots to the top of the leader board with 5 rounds to go.

A fine win in the Penzance Wheelers hilly 19 puts Chris Lobb (www.cyclelogic.co.uk) in a commanding position for this years Championship.

Even after riding the last 5 miles on a punctured wheel, Paul Friday (Penzance Wheelers) scored maximum points with a devastating display of early season form. Also worthy of a mention is young Chris Lobb (cyclelogic.co.uk) who took the second spot and is going to be a force to be reckoned with this season. Next round: D&C Police 30 April 5th.

Hello all.

Herewith the final standings (top 30) for the 2008 championship.

Congratulations to this seasons prize winners and also those riders who took part in at least 5 events.

Well done to Chris Fearnley of Truro cc, who successfully completed the entire 9 round series. He becomes the first competitor to recieve a Cornish Cup Challenge award.
